This missive is 1st in a series crafted by the friends of Keith Henson as if Keith Henson were writing it, in order to give Mr Henson what Scientology seeks to take from him; his Voice.

Hi, my name is Keith Henson, originally an Arizona native, I am 64 years old, I have five daughters and a lovely wife named Arel. I am an engineer. I used to own a beautiful home in Palo Alto, but I'll get to that in a bit. I'm now sitting in a jail cell, they tell me, for 1 year.

In February 1995 a former Scientologist named Dennis Erlich was raided and sued by agents of Scientology accompanied by a federal marshall. They ransacked his house, and took his computer. Erlich's ISP provider, Tom Klemesrud's BBS "support.com", and the BBS's internet host Netcom Online services, were also sued. ( see Wired Magazine 1995 )

The lawsuits dealt with alleged copyright infringement of upper-level Scientology materials. Erlich and others were discussing and commenting on the "scriptures" on the Usenet newsgroup, alt.religion.scientology.

During the Erlich/Netcom/Klemesrud litigation, Klemesrud was set up with a operative of Scientology's interests in a nightclub, in what has become known as "The Miss Blood Incident". But that's a whole 'nother story, but I was reading about it on alt.religion.scientology >at the time it was happening.)

In a separate case, in August 1995, Arnie Lerma was raided and sued and Lerma's ISP was sued as well. A week later in 2 additional raids, F.A.C.T.Net's directors Bob Penny, suffering from terminal MS, and a former Scientologist Lawrence Wollersheim were sued.

After the Washington post covered the Lerma raid, they were added to the Lawsuit, along with writers Richard Leiby and Marc Fisher.

I read many comments about these lawsuits online. Many people were upset and felt there were free speech issues at hand. I was one of those people.

During the Erlich/Netcom case, I read something that Dennis Erlich posted, called NOTS 34. The document was a "scripture" detailing a procedure that looked to me like practicing medicine without a license.

Basically, the Scientology "E-meter" , which is supposed to be a "religious device," was used to determine what the persons "disease" was; and then again using the Scientology E-meter, the person was directed to perform exorcisms on the clusters or individual "body thetans" stuck to that part of the persons body in order to effect a cure.

I thought this was so totally outrageous that I printed out one copy of NOTS 34, and wrote a letter to Judge Ronald M. Whyte, Federal Judge Northern District of California in San Jose; the US Federal Judge in the Erlich/Klemesrud/Netcom case.

Then Scientolgy sued me. For making that copy of NOTS 34!

When I received no reply from Judge Whyte I posted the letter and the copy of NOTS34 to the internet, in order to protect the public from fraud.

That is the beginning of my story of how I ended up in a jail cell in Arizona.

If you feel this is outrageous,please turn that outrage into a reason to act.

30 years ago, Author Paulette Cooper, who was sued 16 times by scientology, and in a very similar fashion to what has happenned to Mr. Henson, was framed for criminal charges. Criminal charges that were used as a totem - a bomb threat, and she was not cleared of those charges until the US Federal Government acted, raiding their headquarters, and found the actual written plan, called OPERATION FREAKOUT.

Write, email, fax and call your US representatives, your State's legislators, The California Gorernor's Office, and the all media outlets. Let them know you want the scientology scam to end, now.
