US Representatives take action against Berlin
Washington, D.C., USA
October 23, 1999
Berliner MorgenpostBM/dpa Washington - A group of 26 American representatives are trying again to have the German government condemned by the U.S. Congress for its dealings with Scientology. A proposed resolution to that effect is to be brought before the House and Senate in short order. Similar resolutions have previously failed. The parliamentarians think Germany persecutes members of Scientology by keeping them out of civil service.
